WORLD LEUKEMIA DAY 2020

Today September 4, 2020 is celebrated as World Leukemia Day. It’s a global campaign run in collaboration by patient groups from across the globe to create awareness about leukemia.

It is very important to raise awareness about leukemias as the survival rates of leukemias are much lower than most other common cancers and we encounter a lot of emergency diagnosis.

This day, people from all over the world, irrespective of wherever you live and whoever you are can come together to raise awareness and educate the world of signs and symptoms of leukemia.

By raising awareness and working together, we can help leukemia patients get diagnosed early, which can help in reducing the preventable deaths and lead to better patient outcomes, which in turn can majorly impact chances of survival and better quality of life.

This year, World Leukemia Day, focuses on how you can take action and help raise awareness around the world, so that we can help more people survive this cancer and improve the quality of life of patients after diagnosis.
